NEW Extra Large PVA Dropper for the Vulcan V2…… all the great protection of our normal PVA dropper just on a massive scale !
We had a few requests asking for a larger PVA dropper, at the time of the original launched PVA Dropper design we were limited with space of the rear tie bar on the V1 Vulcan, however now the V2 doesn’t have the rear tie brace we have a much larger space to play with.
This XL PVA Dropper is designed to keep your PVA bags off the standard door flaps away from the water and sheltered from rain to keep them dry whilst being driven out in the boat.
Maximum finished size of bags 145mm (5.75”) Long x 65mm (2.5”) Diameter (please note this is NOT the size listed on the solid bag packets - this is tied up ready to send out)
The PVA Dropper comes with a hinged Lid and self closing flaps (when the original hopper doors are closed)
The lid can be opened & closed regardless of the position of the rear locking latch, and the body is designed to maximise the space available between the strengthening cross-brace on the Vulcan boat and the rear locking mechanism of the rear latch.
The PVA Dropper consists of the following parts :
Main body, this is just drop into the hull and has been perfectly matched to the Hull design of the Vulcan V2 - and as you would expect fit’s like a glove.
It also incorporates a cut-out to allow the use of the GS Tackle Drop in Rear Deeper mount at the same time.
The body is split in half at the rear, to still allow the great top-loading feature of the Vulcan, however is still robust enough for continued use for years to come.
The upper edge of the main body contains a lip that fit’s inside of the lid to stop any water getting in.
Lid, this has been designed to overhang the slot to provide greater protection from rain over the rear line slot.
The lid also incorporates a wedge design that fits into the main body when the lid is closed, this serves two purposes : it creates a nice friction point to keep the lid firmly shut and it also keeps the main body tensioned open.
Bombay Doors / Flaps, these have been specially designed to have a perfect rounded contact point with the original hopper doors, this minimises friction and allows the flaps to be shut as the original doors are shut - so no messing around holding the flaps out the way or having to remove the system and reset every time.
Pivoting Bushes / Screws, we utilised the same technology from the Vulcan Rear mount to ensure screws could be fully tightened without “pinching” the body together - this give a nice resistance free loose design without the fear of it coming unattached. To do this we utilise plastic bushes with plastic welded inserts into the flaps.
Instructions to use :-
Open the hopper doors, insert the PVA dropper.
Close the hopper doors
Load your PVA bag onto the dropper
Close the lid
Close the rear latch of the boat
When putting out the second rod, please ensure to dry any water from the flaps before placing a bag on it !
Manufactured from the highest quality 3D printed PETG filament - will not fade or distort in sunlight
Will be supplied already fully assembled ready to use.
Main body and flaps will be black, optional coloured Lid with contrasting logo colour - please make your selection when ordering.
