Whilst our Drop in Deeper mounts are hugely popular we’ve created a new Front mount to cater for those that want to reliably mount the Deeper at the front of their bait boat.
This released design has been two years in the making, with numerous prototypes being trialled and design changes made to optimise the mount.
The problems with most front mounts (including our own old original Actor front mount) is the water washes over the deeper during forward movement of the boat, this blocks the WiFi signal and drops the connection.
To counter this we have designed a wave breaker bow - which diverts the water arounds of the Deeper whilst creating lift to keep the sonar high in the water.
We’ve also utilised twin articulated arms, this ensures the Deeper is always facing perfectly down and is self regulating to the water regardless of boat loading or chop. We’ve utilised bushes for the pivoting points of the arms, this gives a smoother action rather than pivoting on screws - without excessive play / wobble.
To create a secure mounting point at the front of the boat we’ve utilised the standard screws used to join the hull together, simply remove the three front screws (you will need a small crosshead / phillip’s screwdriver - not supplied) slide over the mount adaptor piece the fit the supplied longer screws and tighten using the supplied allen key / Hexagon wrench.
Once fitted the adaptor stays permanently attached to the boat.
To fit the Deeper mount simply slide the assembly up into the dovetail of the adaptor…… no fiddly screws, just a simple push on and the mount is secured until removal is required. To remove the Deeper assembly simply push the release button and slide it off.
Manufactured from the highest quality parts available, all hardware is stainless steel, uses plastic welded in CNC Kitchen metal thread adaptors. All screws permanently glued in using Loctite.
